1.  What is it?

It is a handy, lightweight, easy to install aid to help a user walk by lifting the leg and foot.  This helps eliminate foot drop and foot drag.  It is a real conserver of energy and is superior to other aids as it actually helps lift the leg and foot when walking.  The user must have a slight message from the brain to lift the foot.  (The user must have the ability to lift his/her foot minutely.)

2.  Wearing the Foot Lift Assist.   

The Foot Lift Assist is usually worn inside the pants or jeans.  However, some people prefer to wear it on the outside.  You may wear them with shorts.  This is strictly the user's preference.  Special shoes are not needed, however good quality leather shoes are recommended for the greatest comfort.

3.  What to expect:

The "Lift" actually lifts the foot and leg if the user has the ability to start the lifting process.  If you can start the lifting action, the "Lift" takes over and assists you with your walking.  It is guaranteed to lift your leg and foot when worn and properly adjusted.  As each person's needs are different, it is the responsibility of the user to make needed adjustments to utilize the maximum benefits of the "Lift".  We hope the "Lift" motivates you to keep walking and aids in getting more exercise and confidence.

4.  What not to expect:

Although the "Lift" can be worn when the individual is driving a vehicle, it will not provide any benefit while the user is in the seated position.  When the user is in the seated position, the "Lift" is in a relaxed state and does not exert any lift or aid in moving the foot or leg.  When the individual again stands, the "Lift" provides benefit.  A user must have the leg and knee strength to carry his or her own weight, as the Foot Lift Assist will not provide any of the above.
